Scotland’s Improvement Service is planning to develop a data platform to support its climate intelligence service.
It has published a market notice for support on the project, indicating that is aiming to assess the effectiveness and potential costs of efforts to reduce the climate impact of carbon emissions.
The notice states that the tender is for the provision of a single data platform to support programmes on area-wide emissions across Scotland.
It will provide the ability to aggregate, analyse and visualise data on emissions sources with the costs and benefits of actions for emissions reduction and the mitigation of climate impact. It will make it possible to present data at local, regional and national levels to support decision making.
The work will take place under a three-year contract with options for two one-year extensions.
The Improvement Service is the national improvement organisation for local government in Scotland.
