The Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) has launched an online portal for complaints and enquiries about immigration advice.

Users can enter the portal to use the complaint or enquiry button, or that bar at the top of the home page to make choice on finding an immigration adviser, getting advice on the risks unregulated advice, information on the Immigration Assistance Scheme or to contact the OISC.

This leads to a process that includes helping the user to understand how a complaint will be dealt with, a function to ask questions, check adviser details, and report concerns about anyone giving unregulated advice. It also enabled advisers to change their own details.

Once a complaint or enquiry is submitted a case number will be issued.

The portal holds an electronic knowledge base explaining how the OISC deals with any complaint and what permission/consent is needed, and can provide further information relevant to a question.

The organisation said that it will add more features over the coming months.
