Hyndburn Council is planning to transfer its finance and human resources management to a new cloud platform.

It has reached a five-year agreement with Civica to use an integrated version of the company’s FinancialsLIVE and People Hub systems to replace manual processes.

In addition, it will use the Civica People Hub mobile app to enable staff to self-serve tasks such as booking leave and sickness notifications. The company said this will give the council better data insights and analytics.

Hynburn’s system, reporting and transformation manager, Stuart Roberts, said: “The new Civica platforms will bring all the benefits of a streamlined, integrated finance and HR system which will significantly eliminate paper based working and help reduce our carbon footprint as we rationalise on-premise servers.

“This is a culture change for us as a Council: it’s not just a new system, it’s more changing working processes for our employees for the better and providing the best automated cloud solutions for us both today and into the future.”

Civica’s divisional managing director, Rachel Brier, commented: “The integrated solution will offer accurate, real time information for finance and HR professionals, making their roles easier and improving processes across the council.”
