We’re looking for public sector perspectives on the challenges of a new, post-lockdown working model

Hybrid working has become one of the big talking points of the public sector. Even when the Covid-19 lockdowns were still in force, senior leaders began to talk of a future in which many staff would permanently split their working time between home and the office, using technology to communicate, share information and manage work processes.

Talk about the benefits has become familiar, among them a better work-life balance and less travelling for employees, and the ability for organisations to reduce office space and draw on talent from a wider area.

But all recognise that there are technological and cultural challenges, plenty of questions remain to be answered and it will take time to find the best solutions and most appropriate working models.

UKAuthority, in partnership with Cisco, is investigating the issues for a white paper, intended to provide clarity around some of the challenges and highlight the different approaches that could be taken.

As part of this we’re assessing perspectives from around the public sector and inviting you to take part in our reader survey. It provides an opportunity to contribute to new thinking and the further development of hybrid working, helping to make clear what really matters to the sector and where the pain points and promises are likely to emerge.

It should take only a few minutes to complete, and will help us to provide a clearer, more comprehensive picture of how the sector is facing up to the ‘new normal’. You can either click here to go directly to the survey or fill it in below.
