The Home Office has now announced three framework deals with suppliers of control room software to work with the Emergency Services Network (ESN).
It has quickly followed up last week’s publication of a contract notice with APD Communications for an integrated communications and control solution (ICCS) with two more for Frequentis and Systemes et Telecommunications.
The contracts cover the potential supply and upgrade of control room systems, effectively enabling emergency services organisations to carry out procurements for upgrades to work with the ESN without having to carry out full competitions.
All three contracts refer to intellectual property rights on existing systems and the need to link users’ systems with the ESN’s Kodiak push to talk application.
Each of the deals has been valued at £1 million to £6.5 million.
