The Home Office has agreed a four-year, £2 million contract with Gamma Communications for mobile phone data and network services.
According to the contract notice, it has been called off from the Crown Commercial Service’s Mobile Voice and Data Services procurement framework and came into effect at the beginning of this month.
The company said the agreement will give Home Office personnel access to voice, text and data airtime, and access to the 5G business mobile network provided through its partnership with ThreeUK.
Sam Winterbottom, public sector director at Gamma, said: “Three operates the largest and fastest 5G network in the UK and through Gamma, the potential for public sector organisations to increase their levels of connectivity, provide back-up connections and meet the needs of citizens through innovation is enabled. 99% of the UK population is covered by a Three service, with 56% having access to an unrivalled 5G spectrum.”
