The Home Office has agreed a two-year, £37 million contract with Capgemini for the company to support the further development of its Environment Build Support and Administration (EBSA) cloud platform.
EBSA was initially set up in 2015 to support one Home Office department but has evolved to host the majority of its applications and tens of thousands of users.
The department has indicated that it wants to develop it further to bring on more tenants and third party integrations and has a number of relevant initiatives underway.
Capgemini will be responsible for developing a tecnical roadmap and, according to the contract notice, work on a capability to run and monitor applications used to transact with the Home Office, develop the architecture, integration infrastructure, lead on tools and process innovation and handle integration of EBSA with third parties.
Users of the platform include the Border Force, HM Passport Office, Immigration Enforcement and UK Visas and Immigration.
