The Home Office has agreed a deal worth up to £55 million with Capgemini for support in its Data Services and Analytics (DSA) programme.

It has just published a contract that went into effect in April to run for three years, with two possible one-year extensions, under which the company will work with the DSA team on a number of activities, including the development of a minimum viable product (MVP) to incorporate data from new systems.

It sets a value range of £30-55 million.

DSA is the programme for the ongoing development of a centralised service for overseeing and managing data analysis in the Home Office. It ingests data from a number of federated sources and uses its search tool and matching engine to stitch together common data to provide insights for the department.

The contract notice states that the MVP will have to take in data from systems such as that used to monitor immigration, with the aim of a public beta roll out on an unspecified timetable, and that teams will work with operations stakeholders on its scope and requirements for continuous improvement.

Other workstreams will cover the transformation of casework system data into structured formats for use in operations, the continuous delivery of live services and of management information and operational reporting.
