HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has signed digital services consultancy Atos on a five-year contract as agile transformation delivery partner.
The company said that under the agreement it will work with an ecosystem of partners – including Mercator, Opencast and EY – to provide technical and operational support for HMRC’s network of digital delivery centres.
The contract forms part of the department’s wider transformation programme, which will extend its technical capability with the aim of developing more accessible and intuitive digital services.
It builds on the existing relationship of HMRC and Atos, which have worked together for over 10 years.
Nikki Kelly, the company’s head of public sector and defence Northern Europe, said: “In being selected by HMRC to help transform its client services we will work collaboratively and alongside our ecosystem of partners to enhance the experience for millions of HMRC customers and support its ambition to be a trusted, modern tax and customs department.”
