HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has signed a handful of contracts worth more than £50 million in total to support elements of its Data Provisioning Service (DPS).
It has published the agreements, which have now come into force and are set to run for two years each, as the latest developments in the service.
The DPS provides supporting capabilities for HMRC’s work with data, providing a core platform for the chief data office, various users within the organisation and customer groups who use it to build and run line of business data services.
Trio of agreements
Technology consultancy Equal Experts has accounted for three of the new deals, with the largest worth £19.3 million for risking search data discovery. It takes in a number of functions including solution design, code delivery for reporting and dashboarding, system administration and code change to support evergreening.
The company has also won a £9.6 million contract for platform services that includes impacting and design for platform service products, service management for components, access management and evergreening and patch management.
Its third win is for advanced analytics at a value of £8.3 million.
Cognizant Worldwide has picked up a fourth deal for DPS data management preparation and acquisition at a value of £14.3 million. This includes requirements for impact assessments, delivery management, solution design, code delivery for virtual databases, metadata management and knowledge management.
