HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has signed a two-year extension to its contract with Capgemini as a strategic supplier of data, digital and cloud technologies.
The company said this will involve supporting the department in its strategic transformation programmes and further developing its own IT capability.
HMRC and Capgemini have had a partnership for 15 years feeding into the delivery of its tax revenue services.
They signed a deal in 2016 for the transition of services in applications development and management services in areas such as the use of SAP systems, analytics and testing. The company also provides an IT service centre to support HMRC staff in the use of 600 core applications.
Paul Margetts, managing director of Capgemini’s UK business unit, said: “I am delighted that we are continuing our strong relationship with HMRC.
“Capgemini’s expertise in digital and cloud technologies, coupled with our understanding of the HMRC organisation and a collaborative approach to working with HMRC and its other suppliers, will play a significant role in supporting HMRC to drive its transformation agenda.”
