The appetite among professionals in health and social care to learn more about how new and evolving technology can transform health and social care is growing.
Representatives from a range of public sector bodies gathered in Manchester for an event staged by Microsoft with UKAuthority, to demonstrate how established and emerging technologies can enable better care.
It reflected the widespread view that there is a need for a stronger integration of health and social care and a more efficient flow of information between different teams along the care pathway. It also took heed of how the move to devolution in Manchester and other parts of the country is creating a new landscape for the seamless delivery of health and care focused around the patient - requiring new partnerships and collaborations that can benefit from new technology solutions.
The event provided demonstrations of new technologies for supporting people in their homes and the community, and facilitating a more joined up approach between the agencies that provide support.
Plenty of insights emerged and several valuable lessons were learned. You can share in the benefits that came from the event through the contributions available on the special hub, available here.
