Four local authorities in the Gwent Regional Partnership are planning to develop a single view of vulnerable children across their councils using software from Infoshare+.

Monmouthshire, Blaenau Gwent, Newport and Torfaen Councils will use the ClearCore system in a project coordinated by the regional Shared Resource Service (SRS), with the deal facilitated by Bramble Hub acting as the prime contractor.

They are expecting to receive insights from the system as early as next month.

The aim is to identify children in need of support as quickly as possible, enabling more timely and effective interventions to improve outcomes for vulnerable children.

Matt Lewis, chief operating officer at SRS, said: "The solution we were seeking had to be scalable to support the ambitious goals of these authorities to expand their collaborative use of data and continually improve services.”

He added that the use of the system is expected to expand as the project evolves.
