From the early stages of Covid-19 everyone has been more dependent on the ability of health services, central and local government to deliver vital support exactly where it is most needed.

It has meant that for public sector policy makers to frontline key workers there has been a need to manage critical resources efficiently.

But there’s one question that must be answered in every aspect of those complex processes: where exactly should everything be happening?

This year’s annual GeoPlace conference, ‘Places for People’, will explore how to find the answers to that question, not just in regards to the pandemic.

The online event, taking place over 12 and 13 May, will look at how location helps to provide support for vulnerable people; helps to protect tenants against rogue landlords; enables the sharing of assets to support the UK’s digital infrastructure; and reduces congestion and pollution on the road network.

The line-up of high level speakers will look at the importance of that data being current, accurate and widely shareable. It includes Minister for Housing Christopher Pincher MP … and many others.

Places for People is free to attend for the public sector only.
