The Gambling Commission has invested in a new regulatory technology to digitise its regulatory practices across Great Britain.

It has awarded a contract to Objective Corporation for the supply and implementation of a cloud based case management system (CMS), Objective RegWorks, to replace its existing CMS.

This is aimed at providing an integrated solution to support the end-to-end user journey for individuals and businesses seeking gambling licenses, and to future proof key digital activities.

Objective said the investment will help the Gambling Commission – responsible for regulating gambling in Great Britain and the National Lottery in the UK – to realise its strategy for digital and data led gambling regulation.

The new system should better align core operational functions, and automate existing processes to reduce the regulatory burden, cost and compliance across different business areas.

Kirsty Dusting, global vice president of regulatory solutions at Objective Corporation, said: “Objective’s specialisation in solutions for regulators, in collaboration with the commission’s vision and purpose, will deliver the digital transformation needed to improve outcomes, maintain integrity and serve public interest in the British gambling industry both now and in the years to come”.
