Bringing ICT back in-house from a long term outsourcing arrangement can be complex. Does a smart sourcing approach smooth the path to success? Join us on UKA Live on Wednesday 31 July to find out
Central & North West London NHS Trust (CNWL) has taken back control of its technology as a long term outsourcing contracts ends - taking a smart sourcing approach that sees it adopting best of breed technology and a hybrid approach to managed data services, public and private cloud.
Meanwhile Norfolk County Council has saved £1 million per annum by withdrawing from an outsourced managed service arrangement:
"In my first year at Norfolk County Council," says Geoff Connell, head of IMT at the council, "my procurement lead and I withdrew from an outsourced managed service arrangement saving around £1 million per annum and significantly improving the service. This was achieved through a combination of insourcing and smart sourcing. I look forward to discussing this and similar experiences during my career on UKA Live."
Join us on UKA Live with the Police ICT Company, CNWL, Norfolk and Rackspace to explore how smart sourcing can deliver agile technology platforms fit for a digital future while delivering robust, efficient technology to support users today.
