Whitehall's Integrated Corporate Services (ICS) has awarded contracts to four companies for technical and operational service support for digital projects at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ).

The agreement came into force last month to run over the next three years, with the option to extend for one more, and is valued at £60 million, according to the contract award notice.

Three international consultancies have won places on the contract – Cognizant, Capgemini and Thoughtworks – along with a smaller UK based firm Triad.

The services include consultancy support on data infrastructure and technical solutions, technical support for platform enhancements and product maintenance, and project delivery support and coordination. They will cover a range of services including the delivery and monitoring of grant services, automation, online customer advice portal, and data processing and management.

ICS provides shared corporate services for DESNZ and the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. It has handled the procurement and the order forms for the four companies all state that they apply specifically to DESNZ.
