Nursing and midwifery charity the Florence Nightingale Foundation (FNF) has launched a training programme in digital healthcare leadership for nurses, midwives, pharmacists and allied health professionals.
It has joined up with healthcare software company System C in developing a bespoke programme for the groups, aimed at preparing them for future leadership positions.
Named the Early Digital Healthcare Leadership Programme, it will also focus on maintaining effective healthcare while embedding digital solutions in practice.
Initially will be open staff from organisations that are customers of System C, which will sponsor eight participants this year through a three-day course in London in October.
Dr Gemma Stacey (pictured), director of FNF Academy at the Florence Nightingale Foundation commented: “I’m delighted to be announcing this programme. If you are an aspiring digital healthcare leader, this is a very exciting opportunity to strengthen your ability to successfully influence and impact on digital change within your organisation.
“The digital leads will need to educate and engage the wider healthcare workforce as part of their role, and it is important they understand and reiterate the need to embrace digital methods without losing touch with personal patient care.”
