Surrey County Council has implemented SocietyWorks' FixMyStreet Pro web application as part of its investments in the roads and pavements in the county. It will be used to report and manage potholes and other issues with roads and streets.
"We’re investing nearly £300m in repairing and improving Surrey’s roads and pavements by 2028,” said Matt Furniss, cabinet member for highways, transport and economic growth of the deal to use FixMyStreet Pro.
Surrey County Council will integrate the new application with its Boomi platform, which connects the asset management and customer relationship management (CRM) systems used by the council.
FixMyStreet Pro presents residents with maps and connects them to the council systems via an API, which enables two-way communications between residents filing a report and the council to ensure residents are kept up to date on pothole repairs.
It will also connect directly to the map server of Surrey County Council.
