The measures that can help to speed up the delivery of benefits from using the cloud provide the topic for the next UKA Live discussion, staged in partnership with Phoenix Software, on 11 June.
The way the pandemic has accelerated transformation initiatives has made public authorities widely aware of the opportunities to create services at speed, but they need to learn from each other in handling a number of significant challenges.
Theses including identifying the new and legacy workloads that can be shifted to cloud, building on existing team skills, and how to use cloud in building a flexible and agile foundation for future services.
We are bringing together an expert panel to discuss the issues: (left to right) Ian Roddis, chief digital officer at Kettering General Hospital; Carol Williams, interim director of transformation and digital at Walsall Council and chair of Socitm Midlands, Alison Hughes, assistant director ICT, digital and customer at Liverpool City Council and vice president of SOCITM, Craig Taylor, director of cloud solutions at Phoenix Software.
They will be sharing insights and taking questions from online audience during the livestream, all aimed at building a stronger understanding of how to quickly realise the benefits of cloud technologies.
The discussion will take place at 11.00-12.00 on Friday 11 June. You can register to view live and contribute to the debate from here.
