The Environment Agency has set up services on the GOV.UK website showing the risks of flooding and coastal erosion for specific areas in England.
They are based on data from a new National Flood Risk Assessment (NaFRA) and a new National Coastal Risk Map (NCERM), both developed with data from the Environment Agency and local authorities, along with the latest climate data from the Met Office.
Both work through providing details of the location to be checked on the relevant web pages.
The agency said that new NaFRA data shows as many as 6.3 million properties in England are in areas at risk of flooding from rivers, the sea or surface water, and that with climate change the number could increase to around eight million by the middle of the century.
The new NCERM shows that 3,500 properties are in areas at risk of coastal erosion in the period up to 2055 increasing to about 10,100 properties by the end of the century.
The agency has also set up a service on its own website for finding shoreline management plans for specific stretches of the coast.
