Enfield Council has entered a partnership with the providers of the Anya app for parents, carers and anyone expecting a baby to access 24/7 support on pregnancy, parenting and feeding.

It involves the use of an AI powered virtual companion, web drop-ins, parenting programmes, live chat with parenting specialists and information on relevant local services.

The council is making free premium access available to local residents up to the second birthday of their child.

This part of Enfield’s Start For Life support offer to parents.

Its cabinet member for children’s services, Cllr Abdul Abdullahi, said: “As a council, we are very proud to offer access to apps such as Anya that can support the journeys of new parents in Enfield.

“As well as Anya, our trained and caring professionals are available during critical times in your child’s development.

“From free online Solihull Approach courses about emotional health and child development to providing frequent workshops on postnatal fitness, breastfeeding, baby massage and more in our youth and family hubs, new parents of Enfield can always get the support they need.”
