The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has extended its contract with Atos for its architecture-as-a-service (AaaS) to support its digital transformation.
The one-year extension will maintain the company’s enterprise architecture capability within the agency, based on the initial contract procured through the Digital Marketplace from last year.
It is aimed at strengthening the DVSA’s control over its digital ecosystem, including knowledge transfer and mentoring services for its internal team.
Atos said this gives the agency better financial controls over large digital products and supports its relationship with the Department for Transport and the rest of central government.
Mark Giles, head of application and infrastructure at DVSA, said: “The architecture-as-a-service contract with Atos is an integral part of our digital transformation strategy as we move to become a digitally enabled organisation.
“Creating and maintaining a range of architecture services for our business will continue the transformation of our frontline services, with innovative, modernised technology and processes that deliver efficiencies and enhance the end user experience.”
