Take part in our virtual debate with an expert panel exploring how best to drive take up of digital public services and thereby maximise the return on investment (RoI).
With the challenge of ever decreasing budgets and higher demand for 24/7 services, new technology can enable public sector authorities to deliver ‘more for less’ to citizens.
Leaders know they need to identify a return on investment to make the business case for change. They also have to deal with the cultural challenge that stands in the way, requiring significant changes in relationships with colleagues and suppliers, and between the organisation and the public - not least driving the use of digital public services.
A panel of public sector experts are coming together on 15th June to discuss these challenges. UKAuthority is inviting readers to take part in this webcast, during which there will be the opportunity to submit questions and to vote in interactive polls.
On the panel are:
- David Wilde, Executive Director for Place, Operations and CIO, Essex County Council – recently launched Smart Essex programme to improve the lives of local residents
- Ben Goward, Head of Digital, Westminster City Council – with their ‘choose digital’ programme providing digital services for citizens
- Sally Watkins, Head of IT & Customer Services, Wokingham Borough Council – who restructured their entire organisation around digital channels to put the citizen at the heart of all that they do
- James Rolfe, Executive Director for Finance, Resources and Customer Services, Enfield Council – was involved in Enfield’s transformation project, designed to overhaul the way services are delivered in one of the Capital’s largest boroughs
- Ian Robson, BDM for Local and Regional Government, Pythagoras – who drive business transformation with the Microsoft Cloud
The panel will share their organisation’s transformation journey and will look at how enabling technology including artificial intelligence, automation, digital self-service and chat bots are supporting digital take-up.
