The Data Quality Hub (DQHub) has called for input into its user research as part of a project to develop a data maturity model for government.
It is working with the Data Standards Authority to build a model for government bodies to assess their level of data capability and highlight areas where progress can be made.
DQHub, which works within the Office for National Statistics, said it wants to hear from as many people as possible including data leads in departments, senior leaders responsible for organisations’ strategic decisions, and technical experts working directly with data.
It is interested in key considerations for the development of the model including challenges in data management and capability, what should be included in the output of assessments, and who is best placed to assess how well an organisation currently manages its data.
There are plans for a series of workshops and focus groups during August. Anyone wishing to take part can contact DQHub@ons.gov.uk and more information about the project and maturity models is available on the Government Data Quality Framework.
