The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) has signed transformation specialist TPXImpact to support the further development of its Planning Data Platform.
They have agreed on a contract for digital planning reform programme delivery partner to run for four years and which is valued at up to £8 million. The company will provide a team to develop and operate the platform, which was taken to beta stage during the autumn.
DLUHC indicated at the time that the system was still in development. The new contract notice states that TPXImpact will help it incorporate more datasets and standards, prioritised by the needs of users building digital planning services.
The platform is being set up to support digital planning services and the work of analysts using land and housing data.
The development is part of a broader programme in which the department’s digital planning team is running initiatives to support planning processes in local government. These have included the recent release of new services that can be used by local authorities.
