The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) has awarded a two-year contract for a delivery team for the Beta-phases of changes to new digital elections services.
London-based Softwire Technology has been awarded the contract. The deal will support the Government manifesto and ministerial commitments to deliver electoral changes, and across the life of the contract this may include front-end and/or back-end work for the following products/services:
- Continued development on the Voter Authority Certificate (VAC) service, the Electoral Registration Office Portal (EROP) service, the postal vote application service and the proxy vote application service
- Delivery of changes to the Register to Vote service to support Overseas Electors and the Register to Vote service to support European Union Voting Candidacy Rights.
The amount stated for the contact in the official notice of the award is £15m.
