The Digital Poverty Alliance (DPA) has set up a nationwide coalition of charities, non-profits and community organisations to work on dismantling barriers to digital inclusion.

Named the Community Circle Initiative, it is open to organisations committed to ending digital exclusion, with each able to provide two lead delegates, and will provide a space for the exchange of expertise, shaping policy and developing solutions.

Its activities will include sharing best practices for digital inclusion, providing insights into national and local challenges, contributing to government consultations, engaging in dialogues and helping to develop strategies for inclusion.

Elizabeth Anderson, CEO of the DPA, said: “No single organisation can eliminate digital exclusion alone. The Community Circle empowers charities and community groups to collaborate, amplify impact, and drive meaningful change.

“By uniting our efforts, we can influence policy, remove obstacles, and create tangible opportunities for those affected.”

Membership of the Community Circle Initiative is free for registered charities, non-profit organisations and non-profit community interest companies (CICs). Profit making CICs can contribute a nominal annual fee to support its initiatives.
