The Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) has launched a project to introduce robotic process automation (RPA) to its Scribe correspondence system.
It has agreed a £90,000 contract with Ceox Services for a work programme, beginning this week and set to run until early April of next year, for the development of an RPA function within Scribe to sort queries.
This involves extensions to the Microsoft Dynamics platform, implementing and supporting a Power Apps business application, producing reports in Power BI and working on further extensions for Scribe and peripheral systems.
The contract involves a discovery phase, including a process mapping workshop, followed by design and delivery. The latter includes system testing and user acceptance testing support, along with training for users.
Ceox describes itself as a provider of IT services to the public sector, with an approach that combines user experience design with agile methodology. It is a Microsoft partner, claiming expertise in Dynamics, Power BI and Office 365.
