The Department for Education (DfE) has taken on TPXimpact to lead a consortium of suppliers in developing digital services for teachers and related users.

They have agreed on a two-year contract valued at £27.4 million for digital outcomes and contracted out services with the Teaching Workforce Directorate portfolio.

Details within the award notice indicate the contract comprises four lots, the first being for digital outcomes in providing teams to design, build, iterate and support digital services.

The second covers the provision of individual specialists to deliver specific outcomes of a service or project, and the third user research studios to inform the development of services.

Lot four covers the recruitment of user research participants, either with specific types of experience or likely users of a service.

The DfE teaching workforce portfolio is aimed at helping potential teachers through the process of joining the profession and providing support in the early stages of their careers. It involves the development of integrated services for steps such as encouraging people to consider teaching, registering and providing financial support for trainees, helping them find a teaching job, providing extra professional support, and access professional qualifications.
