The Department for Education (DfE) has contracted digital technology consultancy adroc to deliver a range of software projects across the Teaching Workforce programme.

The two-year, £15 million contract was awarded through the Crown Commercial Service’s Digital Outcomes 6 procurement framework.

It involves adroc providing software development and related technical capability for the building and iteration of services under the Teaching Workforce Directorate portfolio.

The award notice says the company will “provide software development and related technical capability/expertise to deliver outcomes across the Teaching Workforce Directorate portfolio to build and iterate high quality services from pre-discovery through to live, working in multi-disciplinary blended teams with other suppliers and civil servants.”

Steve Lorek, head of technical at adroc, said: “Our collaborative partnership with the DfE is extremely broad ranging. It involves consulting on what is technically feasible, collaborating with designers to ensure user experience aligns with objectives, and then the implementation of the technical capability.”
