Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) has awarded places on a new hardware and peripherals framework for the further education sector.
It has appointed five suppliers in a deal split into five lots that could be worth up to £256 million over its four years.
The first lot has gone to Pure Technology Group and covers desktop computers and relevant services, while the second has been awarded to DTP Group for portable devices such as laptops, notebooks and tablets.
Number three covers peripheral equipment such as printers, scanners, virtual reality equipment, thin clients and headphones, and goes to Stone Computers.
Lot four deals with Apple products and been awarded to GMB Digital Technologies, while number five is a multi-purpose lot – effectively covering lots one to three – and has gone to Insight Direct.
According to the contract award notice, local authorities can join CPC for procuring on behalf of educational establishments. The organisation is owned and run by the further education sector.
