The councils within South West Hertfordshire have launched a website to inform the public and invite feedback on their long term aspirations for the area.
Hertfordshire County Council, Dacorum Borough Council, St Albans City and District Council, Three Rivers District Council and Watford Borough Council has set up the www.swhertsplan.com website as a platform for the South West Herts Joint Strategic Plan.
It provides details on the plan – covering strategic issues including infrastructure and cross-council boundaries up to 2050 – a series of videos from leaders across the academic, industry and voluntary sectors, and a questionnaire for the public.
Stephen Boulton, Hertfordshire County Council’s cabinet member for growth, infrastructure and planning, said: “The new website is the next step in engaging with residents following the hugely successful poll that was launched last year. We hope that it will encourage even more engagement to help shape our plans with the needs of future generations in mind.
“We want Hertfordshire to be home to well designed and vibrant communities, where everyone can live, learn, and work locally, and working with our partners will help us to deliver the right infrastructure to support this vision.”
