Adult social care provider Corserv Care has entered a strategic partnership with technology company 2iC-Care to use its Andi service to support its services in Cornwall.

It will use the solution – which enables care providers to customise care provision and response, and includes in-home alarm units and an alerts dashboard – to develop a more preventative care model for the county.

Andy Waller, managing director of Corserv Care, said the system will enable the organisation to be very clear about the care the support requirements of individuals and provide more comprehensive assessment data.

2iC-Care said this is the first technology enabled care solution to leverage the Lean Services request and response protocol, which provides interoperability between any peripheral type from almost any manufacturer.

It added that the implementation will help Corserv Care to attract a wider workforce by making its services more attractive to prospective employees.

Waller added: “If we keep doing the same things, we will not meet the demand coming through the system. We need to think innovatively about how we can utilise technology to complement and enhance the care and support we’re offering to people.”
