Worcester Acute Hospitals awards £1.2m payroll and pensions contract to NHS SBS
Worcester Acute Hospitals NHS Trust has awarded a five-year contract to business support specialist NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS). The £1.2 million contract builds on the trust's partnership with NHS SBS, a public-private joint venture with the Department of Health. Alongside the immediate cost savings, NHS SBS will seek ongoing efficiency savings through its dedicated specialist delivery team, adoption of LEAN-driven processes and technology improvements. This includes the adoption by Worcester Acute of NHS SBS's web-based ePay solution to improve the accuracy of recording timesheet and expenses data. The latest contract builds on the growth of NHS SBS's employment services which currently processes more than two million payroll transactions each year on behalf of 78 NHS clients with 99.8% accuracy.

Skyscape delivers infrastructure for Cyber Security Challenge UK

The Cyber Security Challenge UK runs a series of national competitions, learning programmes and networking initiatives designed to identify, inspire and enable more UK citizens to become cyber security professionals. Wycombe picks Capita for IT and customer services
Wycombe District Council has awarded a five-year contract to Capita to provide an integrated IT infrastructure and transform and run its customer services operation. As part of the contract, Capita will manage the council's hosted and local IT infrastructure, desktop services, network services, Wi-Fi and an IT help desk. Capita will work with the council to improve the range and experience of self-serve facilities, as well as introducing its mobile app engage, which will provide more choice when it comes to getting in touch with the council, finding local information or using council services. The new contract starts on 1 February 2015.
