NCP and ForeScout win network security awards in "The Govies"
NCP engineering has received the top 'platinum' award in the network security category of US Security Products magazine's 2014 Government Security Awards ("The Govies") for its NCP Secure Enterprise Client 9.32 and NCP Enterprise VPN Server 8.11, the company has announced. "The Govies" honour outstanding security products that are crucial to IT professionals within federal, state and local agencies and private sector partners. The CounterACT platform from network security specialist ForeScout Technologies won gold in the network security category. ForeScout CounterACT provides government agencies with an automated solution to control network access and enforce essential security controls. Features include port authentication, protection against rogue and unauthorised devices, and mitigation of endpoint compliance violations. Winners were selected by a panel of information security professionals.

Civica acquires Keystone housing asset management solutions
Specialist systems and business process services group Civica has announced that Civica UK, the company's wholly owned subsidiary, has acquired specialist software provider Keystone Asset Management Solutions. Keystone, based in Colchester, provides application software and related services predominantly for the UK social housing sector. Its integrated product suite is used by customers to ensure the efficient and effective administration of housing stock including management, planned maintenance, inspections and component accounting. The companies already have a successful record of working together at customers including St Leger Homes and Thames Valley Housing.
