The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) is planning a procurement framework, valued at up to £5 billion, for outsourced contact centres for the public sector.

It has published a future opportunity notice for potential suppliers, indicating that the contract would involve two lots, for contact centres and business process services.

An automation function is listed as one of the core elements of the services to be provided under the first lot, along with innovation, project managers and skilled call handlers.

The second involves outsourced business processes including, as a minimum, payroll, HR, finance and source-to-pay.

CCS is planning a series of market engagement sessions between November and February.
