The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has opened a procurement framework for the services of digital specialists with a value of up to £4 billion.
Named Digital Specialists and Programmes, it has been developed to complement a future version of the Digital Outcomes and Specialists framework and provides a channel from bringing in a range of digital, data and technology (DDaT) skills for transformation projects.
CCS said the framework can apply to hiring staff with DDaT skills to integrate into an organisation for projects that have no clearly defined outcomes or deliverables and for single or multiple projects.
The new framework, which went live in March, involves 76 suppliers, with 51 holding places on the first lot for digital programmes and 52 on the second lot for digital specialists.
It is set to run for two years with options for a further two, according to the contract notice.
The document specifies that suppliers have to work in compliance with the Government’s Technology Code of Practice, Service Standard assessments, open standards principles and provides DevOps support for ongoing live services.
