The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has declared plans to set up a new procurement framework for two core services for the Public Services Network (PSN).
It has published a market notice, with a value of up £44.6 million, for a PSN Core Services contract, replacing the Government Convergence Framework (GCF) while mirroring its two lots as PSN Domain Name System Services and PSN eMail Relay.
The services will support sending information securely between public sector organisations over the PSN.
A spokesperson told UKAuthority that the change is being made because the GCF uses increasingly outdated technology, and the new agreement enables organisations using its core services to transition their DNS and Email Relay to the update service.
CCS aims to make awards for the framework in June.
