The Crown Commercial Service has taken a step towards providing the next iteration of its Technology Services procurement framework for the public sector.
It has published an opportunity notice for suppliers indicating that the framework – the fourth under the title – could lead to a total spend of up to £12 billion, a sixfold increase on the £2 billion stated for its existing version.
While Technology Services 4 will continue to cover traditional ICT services, from strategy through to operational deployment, CCS said it has not yet decided on the lot structure. This will be shaped by a series of market engagement sessions over the next six months.
It is also playing a long game, with Network Services 3 not due to expire until June 2025.
The existing version includes lots for technology strategy and service design, transition and transformation, operational services (over four sub-lots), major services transformation programmes, and service integration and management.
