The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has awarded a new procurement framework for transport management technology including a lot dedicated to solutions for sustainability.
It said the new agreement will continue to provide core services and products such as automatic number plate recognition and pedestrian control solutions with smart traffic management technologies related to air pollution, vehicle charging and autonomous vehicles.
It will also include for the first time software for asset data capture, processing and exchange services and geographic information systems.
Transport Technology and Associated Services – replacing Traffic Management Technology 2 – will go live on 26 October to run for four years, with call-off contracts durations between two and seven years depending on which of the seven lots are used.
There are 77 suppliers on the framework, 44% of which are SMEs, on seven lots: transport professional services; transport and pedestrian control; transport signage and lighting; transport data services; sustainable transport technologies; major transport solutions; and catalogue.

This replacement framework truly reflects and represents their expectations and provides the platform for the country to build back greener.
“It is yet another example of how CCS is working with customers to help them overcome their carbon net zero challenges.”
