The Cabinet Office is making plans to deploy a digital platform to enable staff to anonymously report incidents of bullying, harassment or discrimination.

It has agreed a contract with specialist platform provider Culture Shift to run until late March of next year and valued at £139,300.

The scope of the agreement includes for the platform to be accessible through the department’s intranet, to produce clear, downloadable reports and that the information submitted will be used for trend mapping only to enable the Cabinet Office to offer targeted support for specific areas.

It also emphasises the importance of users retaining their anonymity and that their data will stay in the UK is secure storage provided by AWS.

Support, campaigns, branding

More features on support and campaigns may be added in the future, and the platform will carry Cabinet Office branding.

It will initially be used in a pilot involving up to 1,000 members of staff and scaled up to 10,000 users.

Culture Shift says its software allows users to report any incident safely and access further support, and that this should help organisations take a preventative approach in maintaining a positive culture.
