The Cabinet Office is planning to get a new e-notification service in place for public sector contracts in the event of no deal on the terms of the UK leaving the EU.
It has revealed the plan in one of its briefing notes on preparations for a no-deal Brexit, with the implication the new system will have to be in place by the end of March of next year.
The service would replace the OJEU/TED platform for public authorities, which currently has to be used for contracts above a threshold level, currently £118,133 for schedule 1 bodies (central government and NHS) and £181,302 for others.
The document says that more details will be revealed closer to the Brexit date, but that authorities that use OJEU/TED will be contacted to ensure they are familiar with the new service, and suppliers will need to access it to keep an eye on tender notices.
The online platforms for lower value contracts such as Contracts Finder and Public Contracts Scotland will remain in place.
