Buckinghamshire Council has signed BT on a £17.6 million contract to provide network services for itself and NHS bodies in the county.

Under a five-year deal it will provide services including a local area network, wide area network and Wi-Fi, initially to the council, the local NHS trust and clinical commissioning group including all GP surgeries.

The market notice says the deal will run for five years with options for two one-year extensions.

It was awarded after a mini-competition run under the Crown Comercial Services’ Network Services 2 framework.
