Bromley Council has agreed on a new contract with BT, valued at up to £25 million, for the provision of IT services.
The new deal, which is set to run for five years with the option of another five, provides for the continuation of a managed service that has been provided by BT since 2015.
The contract notice lists the core services as service integration and management, helpdesk, destop support, different modes of connectivity, infrastructure and data centre support, and asset management and procurement.
The legacy contract also involved support for line of business systems but Bromley has indicated that it intends to take this back in-house.
New elements of the service include service design and transition, cloud and data centre services, unified communications, commercial off-the-shelf software applications and infrastructure applications.
