Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole Council is planning to consolidate its two revenues and benefits systems into a cloud based solution provided by Capita.

They have agreed on a seven-year contract valued at £3.16 million with options for two two-year extensions.

According to the contract award notice, the new system will be integrated with the council’s CRM system to meet requirements of its transformation agenda and align with its IT technical strategy.

The latter is aimed at reducing the complexity and sprawl of its IT estate following the council’s formation from three individual councils in 2019. It also includes an emphasis on ‘cloud by default’ and a need to integrate systems with Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365.
