The BBC has selected Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to modernise its finance, procurement and payroll functions.

The company said they have agreed on a “multi-year partnership” to use its contextual knowledge, proprietary platforms, partner ecosystem and talent pool to support changes in the broadcaster’s business model.

It will involve using the TCS Cognix AI driven collaboration suite, which supports intelligent automation and integrates with point solutions from multiple partners.

TCS will also provide application management and change delivery services, implement its unified operations model – which integrates business process and application layers – and deploy a new payroll platform and services with an integrated analytics layer.

Amit Kapur, country head UK and Ireland at TCS, said: “We are pleased to be selected by the BBC as their partner to transform their finance and payroll function. TCS’ digital capabilities and domain expertise will help them achieve their business objectives while building greater agility and resilience in their operations.”
