Basildon Borough Council has signed technology consultancy Tisski to support a modernisation of its IT systems using the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform.
The company said the programme will involve the migration of several systems and highlighted those associated with waste services.
Basildon’s chief executive, Scott Logan, said: “We have three clear principles for transforming the way we provide services across the borough. We aim to simplify, standardise and automate, giving greater value to the public.
“Part of this programme will be focused on our recently approved waste strategy and will help move away from paper based processes, to a digital, environmentally friendly service.”
Tisski’s chief executive officer, Anna Assassa, said it has begun working with the council to “explore the art of the possible” with the Dynamics platform.
