Avon and Somerset Police has revealed plans to use the Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications suite to support its business processes.
It is currently carrying out the implementation with Oracle PartnerNetwork member Namos Solutions. It is replacing an on-premise SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and is due to be completed by the first half of 2024.
The force plans to use the ERP, enterprise performance management and human capital management applications in Oracle Fusion, along with the Oracle Integration Cloud to connect data between applications and with the Totalmobile workforces rostering solution. Oracle said this will give Avon and Somerset Police the capacity to connect data across its business functions, improve insights and better align financial and operational planning.
It will also be able to use an integrated HR platform.
Nick Adams, chief officer for finance, resources and innovation at the police force, said: “We need to evolve and modernise our operational approach as we align ourselves with new and growing service demands and public expectations, as well as the rapidly changing needs of our workforce.
“Oracle Fusion Applications gives us the most comprehensive suite of business applications, enabling us to create efficiencies across the system, boost the capacity and preparedness of our frontline workforce, and focus our resources where we need them.”
