Ambient Support has begun to deploy digital care planning and compliance software from Access Health, Support and Care (HSC).
The charity, which provides care and support services in more than 110 locations across the UK, has so far gone live with the system in 33 % of its mental health settings and is also planning to implement it to support older people and those with learning disabilities by the middle of this year.
The software will be used to digitise 90% of the care planning pathway as part of Ambient’s transformation strategy.
Access HCS said in the locations where the system has been rolled out the charity is seeing 100% audit returns as there is no longer a need to enter the data manually.
It will be used to monitor and manage governance, regulatory compliance, care audits and clinical compliance, allowing managers to identify if essential checks and audits are up to date.
Efficiencies and improvements
Lee Hodgson, chief information officer at Ambient, said: "Through our partnership with Access HSC, we expect to see a substantial reduction in operational costs and increased efficiency, as well as an improvement in quality and oversight of services.”
Access HSC said that Ambient also plans to pilot the use of Assure digital telecare product in its supported living environments for people with learning disabilities and mental health needs.
